New to Qlik Sense

Dear Team,

   Greetings,

In my dash board i am comparing last year ( sale month ) sales and present year sale month sales, for present year i am getting as on date but in last year it is taking whole month for this formula (Sum({$<SALEYEAR={2018}>}NETAMT))

can any one help me how to check sales of both year same days.

vTodate=date(num(Month(max(Date)))&'/'&day(today())&'/'&year(max(Date))-1)

if you have month selection use this it will bring today of  selected month

take date between monthstart and vTodate
