New to Qlik Sense rules: Please help me understand this example

Hello all,

I am new to Qlik Sense rule and came across this example (Example 1)

Untitled.png

In the above example, why you do have to specify

resource.resourcetype="App" or resource.resourcetype="Stream" or (resource.resourcetype="App.Object" and resource.ObjectType="Sheet")

?

If you are already supplying this in the Resource filter section, why do you need to write it in the rule?

Also is the term App, Stream, and App.Object case sensitive?

Is above rule working for you?

Resource Type is used to specify that the rule is applied ONLY to App, Stream, Sheet and App Object.

There are many other Resource Types and Resource Object Types

Ex: "snapshot" or "story" or "masterobject"  etc.

In your rule it says,

Give access to those who has name like My* for App or Stream or App Object AND Sheet.

AND here is interpreted as ONLY.

Not sure if I this is the answer you looking for?
