Open folder trough Qlik Sense

Hi all

Is there a possibility to open a folder on your pc trough Qlik Sense? While clicking on a button for example.

I know in Qlikview you have the possibility to do that by using an action.

Thanks

Not without an extension. But I don't understand why you want to do that in the first place.

I'm making an application for somebody, they want when I select a loan and press a button they want to go to a local folder with pdf's, images etc,.. from that loan, so with extra information.

Opening PDF's in Qlik Sense is also no option, I guess?

No. It's not a file system browser like Explorer. It's a Data Discovery tool.

Hi,

This is Qlik Sense Desktop, I assume??

You might be able to open something like 'file:///C:/Windows/', but that will give you the directory in a browser window, I don't know if that's what you want.

Yes I'm working with Qlik Sense Desktop.

And It might be a possibility, I will try what you say

Gysbert_Wassenaar

Yeah, an unsafe browser like IE would allow that, so that might work.

And how can I achieve that?

Gysbert_Wassenaar

Create a story, put a text object on the first slide and make an url of it: Adding a link on a slide ‒ Qlik Sense

Or perhaps with an extension like Simple Table with Image/Link Detection‌ if you modify it to support file:///

Of course you are right, that would not be allowed in a modern browser for security reasons.
