Open folder trough Qlik Sense

Hi all

Is there a possibility to open a folder on your pc trough Qlik Sense? While clicking on a button for example.

I know in Qlikview you have the possibility to do that by using an action.

So there is no other solution for this? Or any way to open a PDF file in Qlik Sense?

You cannot access the file system from the browser, that is the problem. So you would need some service that reads the pdf files and makes them available over http (a web server...)

I was trying to do something similar to this in the end I had to create a web URL where the documents were stored which the end user could then just click on a hyperlink from the Qlik app to the URL.

This seemed to work quite well.

Yes, I'm going to try that. Read some posts on the internet and they also suggest that.

Hi,

I am not sure if we can provide a button to open PDF file in QlikSense desktop, but you can definately achieve that by QMC and HUB combination.
