Operations Monitor - Session Data Veracity

Hello Folks,

So I've been pressed to get usage metrics concerning our QS installation.  I went to the Monitoring Apps > Operations Monitor > Sessions Details .   There I used the Date filter to filter down the User Session Summary table to the right.  To my surprise, it says "No activity is associated with your current selections" when I select the dates from 2019-06-10 -> 2019-06-15.

I know for a fact that people were in and out of the QS system for these two weeks in June, so why doesn't the data reflect it?

Are there any caveats concerning the Session Details data that I'm unaware of?

Any help is greatly appreciated

Have the reload tasks for Operation Monitor completed successfully for that period?

As a matter of fact, it appears to have never failed on the reload process:

Can you see any logs at all with out filtering on the date? It looks like the app is not picking up any logs at all.

You may need to investigate this further to ensure that the App is looking at the right location for the logs.

This will depend on the mode of logging i.e. centralised or file based.

Has anything changed in the last installation or was it a fresh install?

Follow this help article and recheck your configuration.

Hope this helps.

I checked my configuration and changed the localhost  to the FQDN.  The biggest concern I have is that I have data in the month of May, but for two weeks in June there is a gap, and then the records startup again.

Could it be that the task was disabled for the two week period? As that is the only way it wouldn't report a failure.

I doubt it, but that's the only solution that makes any sense.  I'll keep an eye on it and make sure it doesn't get disabled again.  Thanks for your assistance.

No problem. Try importing (need not be published) the session monitor app as per below and reload it. It may give some insight or possibly even fetch the missing session info if it is there.
