P&L in sense

Hello all,

I have a question. I would like to make a P & L of the figures (turnover - purchase - costs = result) as shown in the picture. However, I just get the results from the data from different places. (Turnover from order table, costs and direct costs from cost table) and therefore I can not choose all elements as a dimension as is possible in the attached image. My question is how I can get all the elements of this simple P & L (turnover, margin, direct costs, costs) in a table so that I can choose them as a dimension.

Thanks in advance!P&L.png

I do not think that is really the solution. I just want this (Appendix 1) to this (Annex appendix2).

Not sure of your entire issue but the way you described it; looks to be a data modeling issue.

When you have multiple fact tables you have 2 options

1- Concatenate fact table

2- Link the 2 fact tables with a Link table

both of these techniques are used based on need and data types. Very quick summary Typically Concatenate is used when most of the dimensions are are common between fact tables. Else Link table is used but link table is less efficient as far as performance in concerned (only if we are talking about a huge data set)

Check below link too

Hope i helped

no I do not know if I'm clear but I'm looking for a method that converts the table with horizontal measurements into a table with vertical measurements as shown in the appendix.

Ok. I think i missed that part.

use cross table load. kind of like transpose in excel

See below for details. also there should be lots of youtube videos explaining it as well
