Pie Chart Breakdown

I want to create a pie chart that will show individual process costs (about 12 different costs) as a percentage of the total process cost. I have a table that displays each of the process costs and the total process cost as columns on the sheet as well. In order to make this pie chart, what field(s) should be listed as dimensions and what fields(s) should be measures?

In order to get the breakdown of the individual process costs, do I have to divide each individual cost by the total process cost and then clump them all into a master item?

First of all pie chart to display 12 different values will not look good.

Not having full picture of your data and what you want . its hard to help.

In general Dimension is how you classify/divide the data (e.g. country, division etc.) So in this case you dimension should be something like Process Name.
Measure should be something like Sum(Cost)/Sum(Total Cost) replace cost with your own column

if you are looking for some basic training on QS. udemy has some good cheap ones.
