Qlik Sense 3.2 installation : Microsoft Management Console

Hi All,

I am facing a problem while trying to install Qlik Sense 3.2 server over existing server version 3.1. The below message is restricting to go ahead. Next button is disabled.

Have checked that mmc.exe not found in Task Manager\Processes. Can anyone please share any idea to resolve the issue.

Try to restart your system...

I've seen some weird things happening with some processes running on Windows, so restart is usually a first thing to do in these cases.

MMC comprises many things like :

• Task Manager
• Services

So close all things like that.  The 2 above are the most likely to be open.

I was just starting my upgrade when I saw your error screenshot ... and when I went back to my server there it was staring right at my face... !

I had services and task manager MMCs open - I closed them all like Bill says but the screen does not change. I then waited a few minutes, clicked cancel and begin the installation again. It went smoothly from then. am sure you have managed to get it going as well.

The next fun step was recovering the database super user password .. hopefully you remember yours

Thanks all for sharing your experiences.

In my case, services/mmc were not opened from my login account by which I was trying to upgrade the server.

But another logged in user had opened the services. Logged off all the users from the server except my account.

It went smooth installation.
