Qlik Sense Best Practices - sharing QVD/QVF with users

Hello,

Our organization is new to Qlik Sense. We are debating on whether users should be given access to a QVD or a QVF?

Also, If the users want to join third party data (i.e. Flat files or CRM Data) with the data in Qlik, should they do it by copying the QVF from Public stream in to their personal stream or access the QVD's and do the joins.

I want to know what are the best practices or your experiences in this regard.

Standard users cannot copy QVFs from public to My Work Stream. Only the Owner may duplicate and App, copying to a user requires use of the QMC and Content Admin privileges so that route is not really an option.

We control all the data and QVDs in our applications and only allow users to consume applications; longer term they may build sheets, but do not expect anyone outside BI IT to load data from any source into Qlik
