Qlik Sense Desktop - DataBase connection

Hello,

I work with a database allocated in an external server so I can access it through Qlik Sense Self Services Developer. No issues there.

I get an error when trying to connect to an OLE DB SQL database from Desktop, using the same settings than above.

How should i set it up?

Hi @elinamcastelletta,

you can check

• account you log in to QS Desktop has access to database
• computer which QS Desktop is installed on is able to communicate with external server (ping it using cmd line)
• ports are open for communication
