Qlik Sense Dynamic Money Format that will export to Excel

Hello,

I would like to dynamically change the format pattern in a table for the Money Format to show a $ or a different currency symbol depending on the country I select (Euro, etc).

In addition I need to be able to export the numbers to Excel without any format problems.  If I use AUTO with a custom format the Export to Excel does not work (Number Stored as Text is displayed and I need to manually adjust the data).

I am open for any suggestions.  I am using Qlik Sense Feb 2019.

Thank  You,

Michael

Hello,

In the new version of Qlik Sense use 'Measure Expression' as Number Formatting.

That should work.

Hello Michael,

Try to create a measure with conditionals and the num() function.

Something like:

if( Currency='Euro',        num( Sum(value) , ' €#,###') ,  num( Sum(value) , 'US$#,###'))

Regards,

Guilherme

I have to use the AUTO format for it to show but then the export to Excel does not work.

I really need the export to Excel to work and allow the users to sum up the numbers.

Thanks,

Michael
