Qlik Sense Publishing Apps

Hi Everyone,

Publishing the apps moves it from my work folder to the specified stream. So to skip the step of going to QMC to duplicated published apps I am using this method 

1.Duplicate the app
2.Publish the duplicated app to required stream
3.If changes are required make it in the copy of the app. 
4. Again duplicate it and so on.

Is there any industry standard way to do this?
Am I missing something, as this feels a bit disorganized to me.
