Hi All,
I have a lot of measures where measures are defined as below.
01. Abs Sales = sum({<country={'India'}>}sales)/sum(total{<country={'India'}>}sales)
02. Rel Sales = (sum({<country={'India'}>}sales)/sum(total{<country={'India'}>}sales) )
/sum({<country={'US'}>}sales)/sum(total{<country={'India'}>}sales)
These are sample def. of my Qlik Measures.
My question is what is the difference between sum/sum(total{some filter})
Above example, you can see both numerator and denominator are the same only in denominator we have extra which is total.
Please, anyone, reply for this once you will get an idea what this,
Thanks in Advance.
Thanks & Regards
Vivek Anand
for example ur dimension is month
Sum(sales) will show different value for each month per india
but SUM(Total sales) it will show same value for all months which is total of all months
hope it is clear
