Qlik Sense mobile app login error

Hi together,

Login Error in Mobile App

After installing the new Qlik Sense mobile app today and successfully adding my server to the app using an authentication link, I can't log in. Unfortunately, I only get this error "The attempt to log on to the server has failed".

Where can I find out what is the cause of this (log etc.)? The same authentication link works in the Sense Desktop without problems.

Hi,

after consultation with the Qlik Support of Daniele Purrone (thanks again). We were able to solve this problem:

The solution was to activate all tls versions on the server. We used the Powershell script mentioned here: Qlik Support

Look at chapter "Configuring SSL/TLS for Qlik Sense 3.1 SR4". The powershell script "tls_config.ps1" is there also attached.

Online Working with the app is now possible, but offline download fails with this error "App-Download ist fehlgeschlagen Beim Herunterladen von "xxx" ist ein Problem aufgetreten. Die Netzwerkverbindung wurde unterbrochen."

Hi Stefan.

Can you successfully access the same server in Safari (go to the hub, open an app)?

Hi Björn,

thx for your reply. Jetzt direct login works without any problem.

In the meantime we've testet more, and we were able to login through a sense server in the azure cloud, but not through local systems.

Question 1: Could somebody discribe if there a communication requirements like ports to be opened?

Question 2: After succesful login, we were not able to download an app. So what must be configured to do this? Are there some documentation to this available?

Hi Stefan.

Did you install a certificate on the server? A valid certificate and setting the SSL browser certificate thumbprint is required for authentication to work in Qlik Sense Mobile (and Safari).

On the server where download fails, which version of Qlik Sense Enterprise is it? Please find the exact version in the about dialog in the Hub.

Does all apps fail to download or is it a specific app?

Hi Björn,

yes we're using ssl certificate without any problems on all servers. This works well with Safari in iPad. So this should be a different problem.

The download fails for all apps.
