Qlik Sense on Port 80

@

Hi,

We were using the Qlik view so far. There was no issues in accessing from our Corporate Network to Qlik View via port 80.

However the issue started when we try to access the Qlik sense becoz it needs to open port 4244.

Unfortunately the port 4244 was not allowed open in our corporate network due to some security constraint.

Please help us on this.

Is there a way can we access the qlik sese without open the port 4244?

Is there a way can we tweak the access for qlik sense via port 80?

Thanks,

Karthi.

Hi gunakarthi

In the Qlik Sense QMC go to Proxies -> Select Central and click EDIT -> in the right column, click Ports -> "Allow HTTP".

Hi Karthikeyan,

Need to know where you are installing Qliksense? on Server or desktop?

If on desktop than both will work together..

if on server and trying to install full server setup than Qlikview and Qliksense will not work together bcoz they required almost same configuration like port etc.

you must have to uninstall qlikview to install Qliksense Server. and make sure port 80 and 443 must be free before installing. and If Skype is preinstall than you need the change the port of Skype..

Hope it helps

Abhay

port 4244  needed for Auth module. If you want use Sense with only 80 port create virtual proxy for anonimous users

You can use port 80 for accessing Qlik Sense content however if you intend to authenticate your users with the out of the box windows authentication you will need open port 4244.

The authentication port is configurable however but I don't believe you can share port 80 for it. Perhaps you can use port 8080 instead?
