Qlik Sense repository isn't starting

Hi,

We have an issue starting the "Qlik sense repository database" service. Qlik sense worked fine before installing the anti-virus in the server, QS service doesn't start automatically so we started the service manually and we get following error message:

"The qlik sense repository database service on local computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs".

And we get the same error message after uninstalling the anti-virus installed in the server. Kindly help us to figure out the issue we are facing.

[Note: The installed anti-virus is a reliable product and licensed version.]

Regards,

Mohan

There are couple of options.

1. The port is blocked by the Antivirus. Due to which you cannot start the service.

2. The DB service is unable to connect to the PostGreSQL. Try to run some commands to know if they can be reached.

3. The  password for the user who is running the service is not correct. The user might not have authentication.

Check on these issue, they should be solved.

Thanks and regards,

Sumit
