Hi All,  @Michael_Tarallo

we are working to migrate BI apps from qliksense server (on premise) environment to Qlik SaaS environment and noticed there is no web connectors whereas it's available in qliksense server instance (on premise). is there any workaround to load web file data into Qlik SaaS. please advise

P.S:

Hi Deva,

Just as a clarification, Qlik Web connectors are available in SaaS. The connector you are looking for it's the "Web file connector"  and unfortunately is not available yet.

As @JordyWegman stated a good alternative is to use the rest connector.

Best regards

Francisco

Hi Deva,

It's not available, but you can have a try with the REST connector to see if you can extract it this way.

Hi @JordyWegman ,

Thanks for the suggestion, last time I'd tried with REST connection and didn't work. hope this feature will be added in later release.

Hi @Francisco_Fernandez ,

Thanks, but since you mentioned not yet, is it going to be available any time soon?

Do we have an expected date for when this connector will be made available?

My company uses this connector extensively to scrape public data sources, and to pull internal sources like Excel files from OpenText Content Server.

Note that we are also in the beginning stages of migrating off our on-prem infrastructure to Qlik SaaS.

Thanks,

does anyone know of a good alternative to load in an Excel file from a website, that is updated quite often?
In enterprise, this was easily done with a webfile connector.
In SAAS/QCG, I have not found a good way to bring that excel file hosted on website, where the data in the excel file changes often, into qlik SAAS/QCG

anyone have a workaround / solution for that?
anyone know the expected availability of webfile connection in SAAS/QCG?
