Hi,

I have tried to install Qlik Sense a number of times and always get an error message. Enclosed you can find the text file.

Could you please provide me some guidance?

Thanks

Hi Juan,

Have you tried installing it with admin privileges?

That's the first error the log gets.

MSI (s) (24:48) [12:25:37:564]: Note: 1: 2205 2:  3: Error

MSI (s) (24:48) [12:25:37:566]: Note: 1: 2262 2: AdminProperties 3: -2147287038

MSI (s) (24:48) [12:25:37:566]: Machine policy value 'AlwaysInstallElevated' is 0

MSI (s) (24:48) [12:25:37:566]: User policy value 'AlwaysInstallElevated' is 0

Seems you need admin rights for install.

As additional content, see this: Qlik Sense Desktop without admin rights and Group Policy control on running .exes

Hi,

You are trying to install QlikSense Desktop on shared folder which qlik sense desktop not allowed to.

Error 1606. Could not access network location \\holcimdc001\Home Folders\jgimenez\My Documents\\Qlik.

Replace the default path with local path like 'C:\Users\jgimenez\My Documents\Qlik.' on installation directory page on setup

Thanks kaan,

I tried it but the same error occurs.

So far I have tried:

- Install every version

- Install as an admin

- Customize the installation path (both from the installation and the regedit)

Nothing works. I have other colleagues on the same network with the same laptop and they could install it with no issue.

Regards

Did you select a manual path?

Could not access network location \\holcimdc001\Home Folders\jgimenez\My Documents\\Qlik

UNC syntax does not allow a double directory separator unless its before the hostname, anything after will fail to connect to the network path. Qlik installer STORAGEPATH variable, this may cause an installer panic - check that problem and try again.
