Qliksense Animator auto run

I have a Qliksense Dashboard that we want to put up on a large screen for staff to see a status without having to go to their desks.  I have the dashboard cycling through 1 dimension fine (UK/INTL.) every 30 seconds. When I publish it, to the SaaS environment, the machine should auto login and open the url, but when it does the animator does not startand waits for someone to click it.  This renders the animator as a solution useless, but I expect there must be an action or variable setting to cause the animator to start on open... Right?

I want to keep it simple and use out of the box solutions, but if I need to create a mashup, or some software installed to move a cursor and click then so be it.  But seems extreme.

Hello @Peter-Lawlor, ah right, so then yes, I suppose this is working as designed so no way of not clicking to the "play" button to start it. If you wish then to have a new way of this working, I would then suggest to open an idea about that on: https://community.qlik.com/t5/Suggest-an-Idea/idb-p/qlik-ideas. Thank you 🙂

Hello Peter-Lawlor, I am not entirely sure I am getting the full picture of what you are experiencing, would it be possible for you to share screenshots and maybe a sample .qvf so I can try to test the behavior on my tenant? Thank you!

Sure @Patricia_Silva ...

So, the easy part is to built the automator (Top  Left) - I just add a dimension. If I click it , it runs fine. switches from UK view to Intl. by cycling through dimensions.  All Great!. But when I deploy it, you need to click it to make it run.  So you cannot just deploy with it running without someone having to click the play button. I tried a bookmark to see if it would see it in a play state and auto start on opening of the dashboard, but it just stays in state waiting for some one to click play on deployment. The user login in via a rasberry pi and pushes to a large tv screen, which has no mouse or keyboard.  It is just a dumb announcement screen.

I just need a way to start the thing looping without having to click.

Does that make more sense?

Hello @Peter-Lawlor, yes, I think I understand it now. So what I did is just to create an app with ctrl+00 and created an animation just with Dim1 but what I am not sure I understand is where are you deploying it? You mean publishing the app to a public space or where? I guess this is working as designed so you would need to push play button in order for the animator to start. But please, let me know where is it exactly you are deploying it? Thanks 🙂

Thanks for replying @Patricia_Silva .  Yes, when I am deploying, I am deploying to SaaS space setup.  We have a 3rd party software app, that is like a macro, by clicking a curser at an X,Y coordinate as a work around.  I suppose the design is made for desktop users or presentation walkthroughs.  Where I wanted it to cycle through the dimension as there is too much data to show in one screen on a wall TV.  I am using this particular case similar to how you see airport announcements of flights status's.
