Qliksense Services doubt

Hi,

I would like to know why are we keeping Qlik sense services down while taking backup and restore? or, what is the purpose of stopping Qliksense services while doing certain activities. What happens when the services start?

When you take backups, install patches, update the QS we usually stop Services so that nothing is being written to Postgres dB , so that stable state is maintained  when taking backups or writing on top of the dB for any updates.

If services are in start phase , things would be running and logging also happens to dB.

Hope this helps

Thanks

So, we stop services so that it doesn't update the postgres repository, Right?
