Question On Making Selections in Tables within Qlik Sense

Hello,

I have a list of 100+ company names in excel, and would like to search for those names exactly in a table I have built in Qlik Sense. How can I copy the company names that are all in an excel column into the Qlik table and have the table only select values equivalent to those names?

Right now, if I copy and paste the column as is (or put quotation marks around each individual company name and then paste into Qlik), the values Qlik selects in the table aren't very accurate. It takes partial company names and selects a bunch of values that I don't want in the current view.

You can probably do this in the script.

You have to create some kind of lookup. You can look into this function:

MapSubstring ‒ QlikView

If you want to do this using an extension, here's what you can try:

But keep in mind that the values you're using this extension with should match what you have in the DM.
