SQL Server New Connection Failure

Hello Folks,

I'm currently in the process of migrating my apps from a QS 3.2 system to a QSNov2017 system.  Of course, this requires me to recreate my connections on the destination server.

My current problem is that when I go to create a new SQL Server connection in QSNov2017, it fails when I test the connection, but when I test the connection on the current QS3.2 system, it passes.  What could I be missing here?  Also, where would the logs for this be because the log structure for QSNov2017 seems to be different than for 3.2

Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

Re: SQL Server New Connection Failure

Try using the "SQL Server Native Client 11.0" instead.

Re: SQL Server New Connection Failure

Maybe old server / user set up has suitable permissions but the new one does not.

Re: SQL Server New Connection Failure

Hello Paul,

I don't see a SQL Client No 11 in the list of providers.
