SSL Cert Issue in Local CA

Hi Team,

Good afternoon!

We are using QlikSense Server 12.6.2 version which is installed on the Windows 2012 Server and its active directory environment.

We are having Microsoft internal local CA for issuing the local certificates. So we have created a self-signed SSL cert using that local CA and imported under "personal" and "trusted root certificates" in Certificate Manager Wizard in QV server and mapped the cert's thumbprint code into the QlikSense server (at proxies -> Security -> Thumbprint option). When we browser the QlikSense QMC & Hub url, it throws "insecure" warning message in the server & client as well.

Can anyone please confirm whether the Microsoft internal CA will work out in QlikSense or not?

Thanks,

Hi Rob,

Internally signed CA's would be accepted if you control the certificate cache for all the local machines and "trust" the certificate - i.e. import the certificate into the certificate store..

You may need to review the log files located at C:\ProgramData\Qlik\Sense\Log\Proxy\Trace to see if there are any issues with the certificate in Qlik. If there are any issues - Qlik tries a default certificate.

Please see the thread here Re: Issue in SSL certificate import in qliksense server  for resolving SSL based issues. You might also need to run the "repository.exe -bootstrap" command to effect the changes.

Good luck,

Regards,LA
