Sales and Monthly Quotas

I'm not sure how to ask this - so forgive me if I stumble through it.  We have a partners and they have a target date for reaching their goals.  Some of those Target dates are in the past some are in the future.

Each goal is broken down into a monthly goal.  Our management has asked us to project the remaining monthly goals based on the time left to their target goal date.  So to recalculate the monthly goal based on the time left to achieve it.

Example:  (table below) We expect the partner to make a goal of 1200 items by 12/31/19.  (Calendar Year End).  That would mean they should sell 100 items each month to get to that goal.

They do good in January and sell 111 items - leaving 1089 items left for 11 months (99 items for each month left).  February is even better and they sell 139 items.  Leaving 950 items in 10 months (95 for each month left).  March they sell 59, so their goal for the last 8 months is now 99, etc.

We want to take their 'quota' for the month that ends if they miss/exceed it and add it or subtract it from the remaining goal (in the middle of a month, we have to account for a partial month too). 

We also want to track their variance up to the current date.  I've searched under quotas, Monthly recurring revenue, amortization, I'm not sure what this is called.  Has anyone done this?  Are you willing to share an example?
