Schedule Reload of Qlik Sense App every 30 Secs

Hello Guys,
How can I schedule a qlik sense app to reload every 30Secs. The minimum time limit from qmc task scheduler is 1 minute.
Any ideas or workaround will be much appreciated.

Do you mind telling us why you need to reload every 30s?  I'm kind of interested in the usecase.

This dashboard has been developed for Customer Care dept. who handles calls from customers. Their service level or avg. queue time of calls is 20Secs. The dept. plans to use this dashboard to monitor no: of queued calls and agents available. If the queue calls increases more agents will be engaged to take the calls. So that their service levels do not drop.

This dashboard will be displayed on the big screen on the call center floor for all the agents to have visibility into the system.

As you have found, you cannot provide such a reload schedule in the UI. You can setup a reload job to loop on itself like so:looping_reload.png

Notes:

  • You can see the original task is named Reload task of Frequent Reload
  • The trigger is a task event trigger.
  • The condition is on the successful completion of itself

It'd be ideal to also have another trigger to trigger every minute or so as well, just in case the task is disrupted (e.g. on service restart) which will undermine the condition of on successful completion of the task.

Scary...I assume the regularity of this loop would be highly dependent on how fast or slow the system is right?

That's one throttle, also how quickly the app could conceivably reload. In these scenarios, customers are often pulling from narrowly defined resources which are pretty speedy (10-15s reload) and have limited volumes.
