Section access default value

Hi experts,

The requirement is that we want to set Section access default value in Qliksense.

For example,

Resource A has country ID access then the default value is ID for country;

Resource B has country SG/MY access then the default value set to one of them;

Any solutions for the requirement? Section access or extension? Thanks in advance.

first of all you need to take into account that section access doesn't set default value

it's only allow user access to the values in the field

in your example if you use section access than

Resource A doesn't need default value because for him there is only one value in the Country field ID

he doesn't see any additional values.

do you need a data reduction based on some fields values ?

if yes you need to use section access else you can follow what lironbaram‌ said above about climber selection bar or even this extension Qlik Branch to trigger actions when open a sheet.
