Security Rule to 'not grant permission' to create new sheet in Particular app

Hi all,

I have created an App in qliksense server, with many sheets in it.Now i want to create security rule for the app so that no more sheets are created by others except me.How could be done this.Please help me in this.

That's not possible. You will have to remove (or change) every rule that does grant that right. Rules are additive, so any rule that grants a right will give the user that right. And once granted it cannot be removed by another rule.

Thanks for your reply.I think my question was not clear for you

Basically when we create an app in HUB,who ever logins to server can view the app created and create new sheets in it,since at this time no security rule will be applied.

Now i want to apply security rule in security rule edit at resource filter and conditions to that app,so that only i am able to create new sheets(Objects) in it and others are not able to create sheets.Here i need to know the condition i have to apply so that it should be valid rule. and Actions to be given.

Hi Supriya,

You can't deny to create new sheet (we are talking about published applications, aren't we?),

but you can prevent publish the users sheet.

The basic sheets are under 'Approved' section, the user edited sheets are under 'Published' or 'Community' - I don't remember the caption.

Try check out the publish checkbox at security rule in QMC.

I am using second way,in security rule.Is this enough by just clicking on actions(like create,read)?.I must mention valid rule in condition box right.What should be rule i should mention over there?.

yes,No other should be able to create sheets ,except administrator
