Show and Hide Objects, Sheets ?

Hi Techies,

In Qlik Sense, Row wise and Field wise data can be reduced in script editor itself. But how to show and hide objects / Sheets for users. Is it possible in Qlik sense ? If so, how to achieve it ?

Not using the desktop version.

I guess you could do a mash up on your own application of Qlik Sense objects and restrict access to them through your own application layer.

Although I've not tried that myself yet.

Hi Andy Weir,

What are the options available in Qlik sense server. It is a requirement from my client. Is there a way ?

Hi, for the sheet part is possible through security applied to the app object 'sheet', and maybe you can play duplicating sheets, showing the chart(s) each user role can see.

Assigning custom properties to sheets and users you can work in some kind of dynamic grouping to apply security.

The other option is throught mashups (or maybe an extension, if exist one doing this task)

Note: I didn't tried none of those, I'm just guessing.

There is a 'calculate condition' property on many objects. It won't minimize, just show a custom message in place.

You can have the calculate condition driven by a field/variable that is controlled by Section Access / Dynamic Data Reduction which secures the data model.
