Suggestion about taxonomy of fields

Hello,

I'm starting to use QS and now I got about 15 tables to load .

Becouse of very hight number of fields to manage I'm wondering wich is the best way to code them.

When I go to search field for dimensions or misures .... it start to become a mess....;-)

Is it better to use a table prefix in order to understand the origin of field ?

i.e.

cust_cust_id

cust_name

cust_address and so on....

or

cust_id_cust

name_cust

address_cust

other hint are welcome

thanks

The first approach work for me.

Remember that Qualify function will do the job for you

Do you Qualify?- How to use QUALIFY statement

Another idea is to standard prefix some of your common data elements. Your keys with a % symbol and _ your flags is the suggestion i've seen and adopted for my data models to group those types of data elements together
