Two Date ranges

I have a business requirement to have two date filters and two table regions with identical columns:

  • When I set the date range on DateRange1, I need the changes to reflect on Table 1 only.
  • When I set the date range on DateRange2, I need the changes to reflect on Table 2 only.
  • I can't get this to work without the selection in DR1 affecting DR2 and vice-versa, since Qlik is based on an associative model.
  • Is there a way to override this behavior ? Basically, allowing both selections only to update their respective table regions.
  • Ultimate result would be to calculate the variance between these two data sets by the product selected.

Attached screen shot and a sample qvf with a basic layout.

Thank you

You'd need an extension to achieve this...

Qlik Branch

This is a simple and easy extension.

Add State> DR1

Click Pick and Select State as DR1> Select your Date Filter for Obj ID and do same for DR1> Select the Table.

Repeat the above for DR2 by setting up another state.

Later on you can delete the extension object from sheet and the Alt states would still work.

  • Try to look into alternate states option.
