Hello. New user trying to use free destop version of qlik sense desktop. Is it possible to connect qlik sense desktop to a remote version of mysql running on aws? What would be the steps to do so, and does this involve the qlik connectors? Any help would be much appreciated.
Hi Andy,
MYSQL database is on AWS cloud space and I am sure the AWS server comes under your network I mean you can access it by your user credentials .
Now Download drivers of MYSQL databse with respect to your operating system and go to administrator tools and go to system DSN then create a new connection with MYSQL installed drivers and test it once and if it is showing you OK then open your Qlik Sense Desktop and create an new app and new connection , Choose OLEDB and you will find the same newly created connection you made earlier and select it and choose your desired tables and import the data to Sense.
