What are parentheses at the KPI object in Qlik Sense?

Hi everyone,

While controlling datas i noticed that sometimes parentheses appear at KPI object. These parentheses are only appear when i choose something from a listbox but not everytime, only for certain values. It is certainly related to formatting but i want to learn that what triggers second (the one with parentheses) formatting.

Parenthesis here means that the number is a negative number
