If lib:\\a is really a valid path try this:

STORE New_Table into lib:\\a\File2.qvd (qvd);

If not use something like D:\data\....

Hello Philippe -

This does not sound right - I took your code and pasted it into the Data Load editor of Qlik Sense and it worked for me without any issue:

I attached the created QVD and the sample .QVF file.

See screenshots.

I am running Qlik Sense in vmware fusion. so maybe there is an issue with the VM software.

I have identified the root cause.

It is a folder stored in a network path

\\vmware-host\Shared Folders\Win7 Shared\Dropbox\BIPB\Project\UAB\DQ\Qvds\

If I move the network folder on the desktop and modifying the data connection accordingly it works.

But I cannot make it work with a network path

Hi Philippe - as long as the machine running Desktop has access / security rights to the UNC Share / network path, it should work - check out the attached video: unc_video.mp4.

let me know how you do. You are probably experiencing a permissions issue.
