Why does Sort By Expression option not show sometimes?

Why does the Sort By Expression not show sometimes?  Sometimes it will show as an option  and sometimes it does not show.  the screen shot below is from a Table but other tables give me the option to Sort By Expression.

Hi @Ericga ,

• Sort by expression (Enter an expression to sort by. Only available for dimensions.)

Please make sure the Sort by expression only applies to dimensions.

Thanks Jack.  I see i had drug my dimension down and it shows the expression option.
