conversion of synthetic key into composite keys

Hi all,

I have a datamodel with 5 tables. In all the 5 tables i have 2 fields common i.e date and id, which is also being used as filter in the dashboard, but these 2 columns are resulting in the formation of synthetic key as in all the tables they are with same name, because of use in the filter, how can I eliminate this key.

pls help me out as to how to solve this .

Thanks

If date and id make a valid composite key, and the synthetic key made from that is not based on another synthetic key, then it is probably OK and can be left in place. There is no performance advantage to be gained by replacing that with a constructed composite key.
