create discount category on the basis of Customer number & group with current to previous quarter

Hi All,

I am having excel files which having a year , quarter, customer number and customer group for 2017,2018 and 2019 and it will be placed by customer quarterly wise. Now I need to create the discount category with the help of these excel files which will compare the data of 2019-Q3 with 2019-Q2 file & 2019-Q1 with 2018-Q4 like this etc.

Category need to be created like this as below

Discount category:

1)Old customer - Customer number and customer group are same in current and previous quarter

2)New customer- Customer number and customer group are not same in current and previous quarter

3)New business- Customer group is same  but customer number is different in previous quarter with current quarter.

If you are loading data through excel - data manager route , keeping the data profiling on will allow qliksense to generate the divisions into year/quarter automatically ..  once this is done , you could select the quarter parameter and analyze
