debug a loader script

Hi Community,

howto debug a script?

Using option OUTPUT I see exactly standard output.

For example, I need to know the value of the variable Last_Updatede or Filename etc etc

LET Last_Updated = today();

FOR EACH FileName in filelist('C:\QLIK SENSE SAMPLE DATA\data sources\*.qvd')

  QVDStatus:

  LOAD

  '$(Last_Updated)' as QVD_last_updated,

  Date( QvdCreateTime('$(FileName)') ,'YYYY-MM-DD hh:mm:ss') as FileTimeStamp,

  QvdNoOfRecords('$(FileName)') as QVD_record_count,

  QvdTableName('$(FileName)') as QVD_table

  AUTOGENERATE 1;

NEXT;

Re: debug a loader script

Use 'Trace'.

Template:

Trace string

Trace $(var_name)

Example:

Trace Hello!;

Trace $(var);

Re: debug a loader script

Hi,

Use Trace statement like below

TRACE '$(Last_Updated)' ;

TRACE '$(FileName)'

Hope this helps you.

Jagan.
