drill down map and switch to coolers based on different variable

Hi

here is the qvf file in the attachment.

hope any one can help with find a solution to find out how to create a drill down solution on map object (I do not have access to geo_map service)

Some detail:

there is on hierarchy--- County- municipality

I hope I can have this drill down function on the map any suggestion?

I create the master drill down item but it does not work

so I create 2 layers but now : I show all the level at the same time ---which is also not I want

I only have really municipality level data in on County, which I want to drill down.

Hi,

I think it is not working because you have to have relationship between dealership and county. What it means is that in what county dealership is located that will help in drill down.

I recently worked on drill down and I think it will help you to understand. I'm attaching it for your reference.

I hope this helps you.

Hi,

what is the QlikSense version you're using ? and what do you mean by "I do not have access to geo_map service" ?

Also, if you're not using the April 18 relase, Geographic drill down using a master dimension is not possible (for a reason I don't know, still waiting for Qlik experts to tell me why ).

yes it works perfectly fine on the April 18 release (and of course the geographic dimensions should be linked).

but did you try it with older versions ?

So you're using April version (the latest one),

you should link the geographic dimensions and maybe take a look at the video that VIJAY recommends you

Hi, thank you.

three following up questions: (thank you so much bear with me.)

1. is that possible to color the bobble based on the threshold I have ? say between 0-500 is red , 500-800 is yellow and able 800 is blue??

2.or if I have a category--another column (named Level): having H,M,L represent High, median and low. how could I color the dots based on those category  , then how should I put the expression? color by dimension??

3. and any chance I can have the filter --or button for switching the layer:

   3.1. I have one layer for average age

   3.2. one layer for average income

   3.3. one layer for sales

have the sales layer as the base layer

but can swish the top 2 layers, by using a bottom or filter? is that possible to do without using extensions?

Hi,

No worries. I'll be glad to help you out here as much as I can.

Do you have KML files for Swedish Counties, Municipalities? If you have Area and Point information will be very helpful. Please refer to following links for similar information on US side, that may help you to understand what I'm looking for to help you.

Would you be able to sample raw data files that I can utilize for working on your solution?

1. is that possible to color the bobble based on the threshold I have ? say between 0-500 is red , 500-800 is yellow and able 800 is blue??

I think it is do able.

2.or if I have a category--another column (named Level): having H,M,L represent High, median and low. how could I color the dots based on those category  , then how should I put the expression? color by dimension??

I think it is do able.

3. and any chance I can have the filter --or button for switching the layer:

  3.1. I have one layer for average age

  3.2. one layer for average income

  3.3. one layer for sales

I'm not sure I understand your need here.

have the sales layer as the base layer

but can swish the top 2 layers, by using a bottom or filter? is that possible to do without using extensions?

Thank you for the info.,

when you say the the 1, and 2 is do able could tell me how to do that according to my fake conditions?

for 1. between 0-500 is red , 500-800 is yellow and able 800 is blue??

how to write the expression.

For 2: say: I have a coloum called 'Level'. and I want to have 'H' use blue color and 'L' use red color

in this example which I have data with, I use 'party' as colour dimension. but the nature colour is opposite to what I want. I so need to switch 'M' is blue and 'S' is red.

Thank you!

Hi,

I've used following in my application to showcase coloring based on expression value

=If(($(vSumForColorExpr) > 5000000 and $(vSumForColorExpr) <= 10000000), RGB(67,67,67),

If(($(vSumForColorExpr) > 10000000 and $(vSumForColorExpr) <= 15000000), RGB(0,0,67),

If(($(vSumForColorExpr) > 15000000 and $(vSumForColorExpr) <= 20000000), RGB(0,67,0),

If(($(vSumForColorExpr) > 20000000 and $(vSumForColorExpr) <= 25000000), RGB(67,0,0),

If(($(vSumForColorExpr) > 25000000 and $(vSumForColorExpr) <= 30000000), RGB(67,0,67),

If(($(vSumForColorExpr) > 30000000 and $(vSumForColorExpr) <= 35000000), RGB(67,67,0),

If(($(vSumForColorExpr) > 35000000 and $(vSumForColorExpr) <= 40000000), RGB(0,67,67),

If(($(vSumForColorExpr) > 40000000 and $(vSumForColorExpr) <= 45000000), RGB(128,128,128),

If(($(vSumForColorExpr) > 45000000 and $(vSumForColorExpr) <= 50000000), RGB(0,128,128),

If(($(vSumForColorExpr) > 50000000), RGB(128,128,0), RGB(0,128,0)))))))))))
