how to do Binary load from qlikview to qliksense

Hi All , Need help on Step by Step procedure with an example for loading data from qlikview to Qlik sense app.

Hey do 1 thing

As you have the same document name for qvw file, take the document which i sent and load the data

when i reloaded your document it is working perfectly. Is there any rule that QVW should not have ...

The QVW file which have is a front end document in qlikview which has set analysis, variables , section access.

I don't think we should be having any issues as section access doesn't load to data model and Binary load is loading the data model from other document.

Try commenting out the section access and see if it works

One more last thing to avoid this case as well. The Qlikview app is built with licensed version of qlikview desktop and the Qliksense desktop is a personal edition. Please let me know if that will be a problem

Nope. That shouldn't be an issue. The reason is my qvw is licensed and qvf is freeware

Let me see if my QVW file is corrupted. I will place a new QVW and see if that works .

if you have section access i dont think u can do a binary load in to another app. Try to binary load your QVW into another QVW and see. you might not be able to load. same with sense.

easiest way is to copy that QVW file to sense apps folder and open the Sense Desktop.

Copy To:

C:\Users\<USER>\Documents\Qlik\Sense\Apps

Opnce you open hub you will see somehting like BI Dashboards(QVW). Open this and create a new sheet and SAVE. then i will save that as a QVF
