Some time ago i try to install Sense server in the same server that i have installed before qlikview server, the sense do not work and then when i read about this topic I realized that qlik do no recommend install in the same server.
you can create a virtual image and install in the same server or start to change the ports to comunicate. but i will not recommend change ports.
i believe that the main reason that you can install is that sense and qlikview use the same ports in several cases, and if the two installation are in the same server could be a conflict and not work ok.
If you could be running both in parallel they would be competing over the same CPU and memory, which would have very likely given you a significant performance degrade.
