qliksense desktop installation error

I am facing an error while installing qlik sense desktop

Are you trying to install qlik sense server? If so, you have to install it in a server os :

Server edition of Qlik Sense Desktop requires 64 Bit Windows Server 2008 R2, Server 2012 or Server 2012 R2. Windows 7 or 8 is for testing and development purposes only, and is not recommended

It seems otherwise, you are trying to install a desktop version on server os. Therefore, you have to try the right software as exactly the message shows. Please refer the link provided above as FAQ.

Hi Shweta,

it seems you are installing Desktop version on server.. you need .exe file setup for server. which you can download from qlik website using client login.

I am not very much sure why it is but desktop version require window 7 64bit to install, so there would be some compatibility issue to install desktop version on server..

and u can install Qliksense Server which gives you same functionality as Desktop version except offline mode.

Or u can made applications on offline mode and export it on server.

Shweta - Here's one more workaround. I've installed on my local Windows 7 machine. Then copied the .exe from C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Programs\Qlik\Sense to Windows 2008 server. It works as expected.
