You're better off asking Vizlib questions on the Vizlib forums, generally speaking...
You could export as data (I think in recent versions this is called "Fast export straight table to Excel", in which case you would get a structure similar to a regular table without formatting and similar aspects. Otherwise, a formatted export will merge the cells (as it should, since that's the format applied in the pivot itself).
