Application Level Access through QMC

Hi All,

We have 4 Qlikview Applications on access point.

Our requirement is to have application level access to particular User Group.

We have already implemented data security requirement for one of the application using Section access mechanism.

Is there is any way, where we can implement application level access in QMC, so that it will be easy for maintenance.

Please assist.

Thanks & Regards,

MK

Hi,

Section Access is the best method to implement this type of scenarios, or else you can assign Document Level Security for users who required access in QMC, you can try like this

Documents -> User Documents-> Select the Document-> Authorization-> Click on + Symbol -> Select Named Users and add the required users.

Hope this helps you.

Jagan.

u can try this way,

1.assign the cals to corresponding users only from qemc

2. add only those users you assigned cals (on 1'st step) from wherever u places ur  qv dcoument by right click--properties--security--edit--add--list ur user--do the same for whoever access required for this application.

Hi meetmrudul,

The below steps for the Document level access:

goto-> QMC -> Sysetm -> Setup -> QlikView Servers -> QVS@<Server Name>  -> Security

In this security select DMS Authorization.

then  Go to QMC-> Documents -> User Documents -> FOR_USERA.qvw -> Authorization -> Add "usera" as Named User  and Press Apply Button.

-> Goto QMC-> Documents -> User Documents -> FOR_USERB.qvw -> Authorization -> Add "userb" as Named User  and Press Apply Button.

Then go to access point login and check with "Usera" then he can see only USERA.Qvw file in the Access point page.

Thanks

ur right,i was thinking some where.

but if we changed the setting to dms mode tht will effect the server and all other application's right?

i think so,this option only they can use, when they want to use all the application with the same dms mode.
