Basic Display Of Data in Qlikview

Hi

Can somebody assist me these Questions please? Data is attached.

1) Import tables: ClaimsListing, ClaimsMaster, RegionDescription.
PS - Note that the delimiter is ','

2) The description for "CLAIM TYPE CODE" is in the table GetClaimType

3) Display the Excesss Total Value per Unique Claim entry on the ClaimsListing table by adding the different type of Excesses together.

4) Ensure your date selection has an option to view data by Incident Period (MM/YYYY).

5) Display the total of "AUTHORISED AMOUNT" for all claims of which the "INCIDENT DATE" fell within the date range of each
Catastrophy start and end date (Excel Document 'Catastrophy Incidents'). If the "AUTHORISED AMOUNT" is R0, use the field "CLAIMED AMOUNT" as a value.
For this view, you should only include claims where the CLAIM STATUS is not equal to 'R' or 'Z'.

6) Use the Claims data to provide useful views.

What specific questions do you have?

This looks like a test, which really you should attempt yourself.

Hi Buddy, Looks like a test has been assigned to you. OK, here's some tips for you to build this application; 1. Use 3 tier Architecture here. 2. Open QV, load each excel and create separate QVD's. There are 5 excel documents, so create 5 QVD's. 3. Open another qvw(new), load all 5 QVD's and check for any modification, transformations etc., 4. finally open another qvw, Do a binary load of previous qvw. 5. Start your visualizations on the 3rd qvw.

ok.

So you want to develop an application from scratch. great. glad you chose QV as a career path.

Now moving onto your requirement.

You are asked to create an application with specific requirements. An application needs a data model for visualizations/reporting to be done.

For creating a data model, you need data. As your data is in excel, its easy to load them in QV.

Before continuing, what is your experience into QV, I mean what are you well versed with.
