Disregard Current Selection on Dimension

I'm familiar with the use of 1 in set analysis to disregard a current selection for an expression, but it doesn't seem to work on a dimension.  Is there a way to disregard a current selection on a dimension?  I have a list of sales by product (expression) by month (dimension) and I would like to have one straight table to display all months regardless of the month selected.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

You would still use the set analysis in your expression.  If you only want to ignore the selected month, your expression should look something like this:

sum({<Month = >}Sales)

If you want a straight table that shows a summary of all sales, you could also look into using alternate states.  Look at the Whats New in QlikView 11 app for examples, they do a decent job of getting you started.
