I'm considering moving my QlikView Personal Edition database (one that took me quite a while to put together) to another computer. I've read in the Personal Edition FAQ that I can do so via document recovery, which will (if I'm understanding correctly) allow me to transfer my Personal Edition license to a new computer while disabling it on the old one. I was wondering if anyone could give me any more information on the process, as I'm wary about potentially losing my data.
Is it as simple as downloading QlikView on the new computer, loading the file I created on the other computer, and following the program's instructions?
Can I still get version 9.0?
How do I know if I've used my limit of 4 document recoveries? I don't think I've used any, but it's possible I did so by accident over the last 2-3 years.
If anyone can give me any insight on this, I'd greatly appreciate it.
