Export chart into Powerpoint

Please suggest is there any option to export a QV chart into MS word or Powerpoint.

This depends on what you need.

Do you need to automatic generate documents?

Or do you want te end user to be able to use QV-charts in a Word document?

For the first option I use the Report function and send it to PDF-printer so it creates PDF-files.

For the second option I most of the time use the Special Icon options on the Caption tab.

"Send to Excel", if you want to be able to edit the date of a table charts

"Copy Image to Clipboard" , if you just need the charts (then ctrl+v in whatever application you want to use it)

Hope this helps.

Dennis.

Hi,

To export chart in power point i don't think qlikview can do it.

but you can do copy image to clipboard and then paste it to your power point.

but if you want to send PDF, you must have license publisher.

Marco

hi,

export the chart to ppoint as an image or an interactive chart?

if as an image, you can use the "Print" menu by right click on the object that you want to export. Your browser will open a new tab/window with the object in there, from here you can copy as an image and paste it to your ppoint slide.

Hi ,

I try to copy the object when open dashboard via access point.

It only show one option called 'Copy' but not 'Copy to clipboard' as desktop version and can't paste the image.

Not sure the reason for it.

Could you please have a look at it?

Qlik's solution for distributing reports to PowerPoint, Word, PDF, etc is called NPrinting. It supports both automatic and self service reporting.

NPrinting comes with an additional licensing cost that you will need to consider, but it brings great value to many organizations by automating the report creation and distribution.

Without NPrinting and really ad hoc reporting I normally recommend my QlikView clients to use some kind of screen capture tool, like the Windows Snipping Tool, to fetch visualizations into PowerPoint.

Hi Vegar,

Thank you for this update.

I also want to know whether all customers don't have the option 'copy to clipboard' via access point or only me?

Not sure that option need install any plugin.

You basically have two options here:  Have PDF generation added to your Qlikview Publisher license (if it isn't already) or export the chart using NPrinting.  Keep in mind both of these options aren't going to allow users to manipulate the data, it will be static.  Also, PDF generation in Qlikview will allow you to export a sheet, but not the entire QVW.

Hope this helps!

Thanks,
Josh
