Export to Excel by Button

jaganvinay_bangariecolomer

Hi Experts,

I'm not familiar with macros at all…! Unfortunately, not even the basics..

I need a button that will export a table to excel. Please find the attached qvw file below.

Thank you in advance.

Hello Raji,
there is no way to export directly to PDF, but you can use QlikView reports.

That is, it creates one or more reports and then with a macro molds in PDF via the API PDFCreator you have to install on the machine where you use the qvw.

I hope I was clear.

Hi Raji,

You can not export a container object, but only the objects that are contained in it.
Excuse but today I can mdificarti your qvw to other work commitments.
If you can wait and not solve in the meantime I can control it between 7/8 hours or tomorrow morning (Italian time).

Hi Raji,

sorry for the delay.
Attached you can find your qvw modified to print the two objects in the container.
I added the variables and created a new function in the macro.
Watch the action on one of the buttons and you'll understand.

Hi Raji,

PDFCreator is used to create PDF files (simulates a virtual printer that creates a PDF file that you send in press), if you need to produce PDF you have to install it on your local machine and on the production server.
On the production server to ensure that the MACRO functions you need to enable the execution of the macro in the QMC.

In the System tab select the QlikView Server QVS @ xxxxx and select the Security tab and active flag "Allow macro execution on server"
