Front End Dynamic Calculation values at Backend

Hello Expert,

I am creating dynamic values at front end say on User selection sum(sales) getting calculated at frond end and stored in a variable.

Can I use same variable to use that value at backend??

Regards,

Balraj

If you mean in the script then the answer is YES on the desktop but not on the server.

If you are using a variable in the script, and that same variable is exposed to a user in the desktop and they change the value, if that same user reloads the script, it will use their inputted value when evaluating any script logic that references the same variable.

The governance dashboard uses this. its a nice way to pass around a QVW and have users enter their own file path to source files and then reload themselves.

Hi,

You can use that variable in script but

When you assign any value to that variable and then you have to use that variable with that value You have to reload your report again.

How this you going to acheive?

Regards
