Thanks for your reply. I want to confirm which table belongs to fact and which tables belong to dimensions while creating a dimensional data model (star schema).

I know what is fact and dimension. Please could you say me whether the above data model belongs to which category. I don't know whether this is a perfect dimensional data model. That's why I'm asking.....

all looks good except one thing, the KPI table,

All employees may not have the same KPI's this can't be linked by MonthName, It has to have the Employee Element.

if you have monthly KPI's then create a combination of EMPID+Month for each KPI to link to Employee Table

Thank you. But I'm not providing KPI to each employee. It is for the whole organization. If this is the case means, the data model is right or not? and also which schema will it belong to? (Star or snow-flake)

Are you sure ALL Employees have the Same KPI? An Admin and Financial Analyst cannot have same KPI's can they?

what you have is a  Snow Flake schema; don't worry too much about schema's unless you have serious performance issues or if you think you can improve it further!

Yes I'm sure, this has KPI only to employee count in the organization. So, I think there will be no issues if I proceed further. Thank you so much for your reply.

I guess you cannot expect the straight forward answer as there are no definition. Basically, majority uses Star or Snow-flake as it is known from experience that those are the most effective ones to QlikView environment.

This is the simplest table that explains data models:
